One of the cornerstones of our Oracle Consultants Inc training program is goal setting. We know that in order to achieve our visions of the future, we need to know how to turn wishes into clearly-defined objectives, complete with deadlines and rationales for their completion.
To help team members set goals of any size, we use a system called SMART. It stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-sensitive. When we consider what we’d like to achieve in our lives, personally or professionally, we can use SMART as a filter that turns dreams into action steps.
We don’t stop with the theory behind achievable goals though; we provide practical training in this area as well. For example, our Oracle Consultants Inc travel opportunities are also a way for us to teach proper goal-setting techniques. When we announce our trips, we discuss exactly what it takes to qualify, how the criteria are to be met, and by when the milestones should be achieved. We coach individuals so that they know what steps to take, and discuss the unique advantages of going on that particular trip. All the SMART elements are there, and by modeling this approach we make it easier for our people to embrace the system on their own.
